TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER

One of the Trust’s main objectives is the establishment of a technology transfer program to advance to commercialization of innovation developed in Puerto Rico’s science facilities.

The Trust’s Office of Technology Transfer will stimulate the movement of ideas, inventions and discoveries out of the research lab, through the patent office, and into the commercial sector. The net effect of this transfer of technology will be the creation of new products and companies, expanded employment, and the resultant increase in the tax base which further fuels the economy.
