INDUNIV
INDUNIV, the Industry University
Research Consortium, is a non-profit organization established
by private industry in 1985. Its mission is to provide a forum
where industry, academia and government can work together
to promote the application of science and technology Puerto
Rico’s pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries thus
promoting the island’s competitiveness and economic
development.

INTECO
The Initiative Technological
Eastern Center (INTECO for its Spanish language acronym) is
a non-profit organization incorporated under the laws of Puerto
Rico in order to improve the quality of life of the inhabitants
of the Central-Eastern region. INTECO started operations in
September 2003 in order to improve the quality of life of
the inhabitants of the Central-Eastern region, the same, more
than an initiative for regionalization based on the development
of sciences and research, the development of enterprises and
innovation, is an entire new manner to conceive and to make
business, where the municipalities, academia and private enterprise
joint to commercialize innovating technologies, to strengthen
industry itself and to create new enterprises and to stimulate
commercial activity.

INTENOR
The Northern Technological Initiative
(INTENOR) is a nonprofit multisectorial initiative created
to foster economic growth and development in Northern Puerto
Rico. It creates an alliance among nine municipal governments,
the local manufacturing and technology industry, SUAGM, and
the central government. The town of Barceloneta already has
invested more than US$13 million in infrastructure for Intenor.
Among Intenor's achievements is the creation of technological
innovation centers that give students training and technological
education. It has fostered the creation of business incubators
to ease the creation of new enterprises. It also has promoted
the creation of a regional permits office to speed the process
of setting up new companies.

CLUSTER IN THE WESTERN REGION
OF THE PUERTO RICO
The Puerto Rico TechnoEconomic
Corridor (PRTEC) is a conglomerate of public and private entities
with common economic and social interests, united to facilitate
and enable Puerto Rico’s economic development. It is
where industry meets academia and government in the western
part of Puerto Rico.
PRTEC is a non-profit organization
committed to the development of a collaborative environment
between private companies, government entities and academia.
