The program offers a suite of tailored support services (non-financial) for the proponents that will help accelerate their commercialization process and take their company to its next growth level.

The required commercialization assistance services, mutually agreed to by the applicant and the TRUST, will be provided by TRUST executives and by recognized professionals in their respective fields. The TRUST will pay these professionals directly for the services they provide firms selected to participate in this commercialization support program.

At its own discretion, the TRUST may reimburse costs. (Since no costs are incurred by the program participants, it is referred to as an In-Kind service provided by the TRUST.)

The program is designed primarily to assist in the commercialization of locally developed technology that has a high potential to create jobs and positively impact the socio-economic development of Puerto Rico.

This is a competitive, merit-based program and only those applications demonstrating high impact potential will be considered.

A key metric of the program will be the number and the scope of impact of locally developed technologies that are successfully commercialized as a direct result of this TRUST initiative.

The first step in applying for assistance involves reviewing the following eligibility criteria and determining if you fully comply with them.

Once you have completed this self-assessment procedure and feel you meet the requirements and the type of assistance provided by the TRUST will help accelerate the commercialization of your technology, proceed to download and submit the Application for Participation in the In-Kind Technology Commercialization Business Assistance Program.

After your application has been reviewed, you will be notified within Five (5) business days, of your eligibility for participation in the program.

You will be then be contacted to meet with TRUST personnel to fully discuss the nature of the assistance requested, Terms and Conditions, and implementation guidelines.
